Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) cut-off marks significantly determine admission into Nigerian universities. It serves as a benchmark to assess the eligibility of candidates seeking admission. In this context, we’ll explore the basics of JAMB cut-off marks for universities.
Institutional Autonomy: While JAMB sets a general cut-off mark, it’s important to note that individual universities have the autonomy to set their specific cut-off marks. Some universities may choose to adopt the JAMB general cut-off mark, while others may set higher cut-off marks based on the competitiveness of their courses and the number of available slots.
Admission Criteria: JAMB scores are just one aspect of the admission criteria. Universities may consider additional factors, including post-UTME scores, O’level results, and other specific requirements for different courses. It’s essential for candidates to familiarize themselves with the admission policies of the universities they are applying to.
Caleb University Cut off Mark 2024
The management of Caleb University wishes to announce to the general public and the aspirants particularly that Caleb University has set her Cut Off Mark for the 2024/2025 academic session at 160 and above.
This implies that all prospective candidates or aspirants who wish to be admitted into Caleb University must have a score of 160 and above in the recent JAMB examination.
Caleb University Departmental Cut-Off Mark 2024
The screening process at all of the University’s faculties is only open to applicants who received a score of 180 or higher on the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). There is no set minimum score required to pass a course at Caleb University. To apply for admission into any of their preferred courses, students must have a minimum UTME score of 180.
The Caleb University admissions procedure is difficult, and admissions are granted based on the jamb scores; the better the jamb scores, the higher the chances of being admitted. This is due to the enormous number of applicants seeking admission to the university.
Accordingly, the 180 cut-off mark for UTME (degree) admission at Caleb University is applicable to the 2024 academic year.
Note: The performance of applicants who applied to study at the institution for that year determines the Caleb University cut-off point for each.
The departmental cut-off marks are shown in the table below for all applicants who took part in the recently completed JAMB UTME and selected Caleb University as their top-choice institution:
